Our founder, Brad Orlich, was born here in the Valley of the Sun, where his appreciation for beauty, craftsmanship, and architectural excellence first took root. His career began in Santa Barbara, California, shaping commercial spaces and mastering seismic retrofit work after graduating from UC Santa Barbara in the late 1980s.

As his expertise grew, Brad and his wife moved to Las Vegas during the vibrant construction boom of the early ’90s, where he refined his skill as a piece‑work framer. Yet in 1995, the call of home brought him back to Scottsdale, Arizona, where he established Santa Barbara Homes with a singular, uncompromising vision: to build the finest homes, wherever he built.
